How we can support your child and family

Play Therapy

Ages 5–12

Children don’t always have the words to describe how they feel, but their play often shows us. I offer a warm, safe space where children can express big emotions, make sense of what they’re experiencing, and feel calmer and more understood.

Through play therapy, I support children aged 5–12 who may be experiencing social, emotional, behavioural, or relational difficulties. Sessions are child-led, developmentally appropriate, and grounded in connection, curiosity, and emotional safety.

Parent Support & Guidance

Helping you feel more confident in understanding and supporting your child.

I offer practical strategies, emotional insight into your child’s inner world, and ongoing support so you can respond with greater clarity, confidence, and connection.

Parent support is woven throughout the therapeutic process, helping you better understand your child’s needs, behaviours, and emotional experiences both at home and beyond.

Collaboration with Schools & Professionals

Supporting children often involves working together across the different environments they move through each day.

I collaborate with teachers, schools, and other professionals to ensure your child is supported in a way that feels consistent, informed, and connected.

Through open communication and shared understanding, we can better support your child’s emotional wellbeing, learning, development, and overall sense of safety and belonging.

Cognitive & Learning Assessments

Supporting a deeper understanding of how your child thinks, learns, and experiences the world around them.

I provide comprehensive assessments for:

  • Cognitive functioning
  • Specific learning disorders (reading, writing, and maths)

Assessments are completed in a warm, child-friendly, and supportive environment designed to help children feel comfortable and at ease throughout the process. Following the assessment, families receive clear feedback, practical recommendations, and guidance to support their child both at home and within the school environment.

These assessments help identify a child’s strengths, learning profile, and areas where additional support may be beneficial, allowing parents and educators to better understand how to support their learning and development.

NMT Assessments

The Neurosequential Model of Therapeutics (NMT) is a developmentally informed framework used to better understand a child’s history, current functioning, strengths, and areas of need. NMT assessments help organise and make sense of a child’s experiences, patterns, and developmental profile in a meaningful and holistic way.

The goal of this approach is to guide interventions, therapeutic supports, educational planning, and enrichment opportunities that best meet the unique needs of the child.

This collaborative approach can help families, educators, therapists, and other professionals better understand how to support a child’s regulation, development, learning, and emotional wellbeing.
